SUSTAINABILITY
12. JULY 2010

THE MINIMALISM FLEET ENTERS THE FRAY.

The MINIMALISM fleet is proof that emissions and unnecessary fuel consumption can be reduced – without having to forsake driving fun. Today’s MINI models are among the vehicles with the lowest CO2 emissions in their class.

THE NEW EFFICIENCY CLASS.

Climate awareness is a fundamental feature of product policy for MINI. All models are undergoing continuous improvement – through a wide variety of measures. The two models in the MINIMALISM fleet have a special way of combining driving fun and cost-efficiency. They run on the MINIMALISM principle: this involved implementing numerous efficiency-raising measures in parts and engine components. The sustainable on-demand technologies and fuel-saving engines ensure an outstanding environmental balance sheet.

MINI ONE D. MINI COOPER D.

The MINIMALISM fleet already bears the good idea in its name − with excellent spec and commitment to sustainability. The diesel engines and cost-efficient common rail technology in the MINI One D and the MINI Cooper D bring an average consumption of 3.8 l/100 km into the equation - with low emissions of 99 g/km.
