All MINI engines meet the EU5 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.
MINI recommends the use of super unleaded 95 RON fuel. Unleaded RON 91 fuel or higher with a maximum ethanol limit of 10 percent (E10) is also permitted. The performance and fuel consumption rates listed are based on the use of RON 98 fuel.

The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

All figures relate to vehicles with standard six-speed manual transmission. Figures in [ ] are for vehicles with six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

READY, STEADY, ADVENTURE!

Travelling in the name of a legend: the new MINI John Cooper Works Roadster stands for driving fun with no limits.

Also on board the strong two-seater with its 155 kW (211hp) @ 6,000 rpm of power: the Sport Button and overboost function, which add an extra portion of thrust. The latter briefly raises the traction power by 20 units to give a total of 260 Nm. Pressing the Sport Button produces a distinctly more spontaneous response from the steering, and the accelerator pedal reacts even faster to pressure. And because the twin exhaust also produce a shriller tone, one clear instruction is required before it goes into action: soft top down!

With the roof opened, the sports car shows everything that makes for a true roadster and thus attracts admiring glances. But don’t worry: a brief press of the accelerator leaves all the envious onlookers behind. After all, only one thing is of interest: the next adventure.
