Further information on the official fuel consumption and on the official specific CO2 emissions of new automobiles can be found in the guidelines on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new automobiles which are available free of charge at all retail outlets and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern, Germany.

All MINI engines meet the EU5 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.

MINI recommends the use of super unleaded 95 RON fuel. Unleaded RON 91 fuel or higher with a maximum ethanol limit of 10 percent (E10) is also permitted. The performance and fuel consumption rates listed are based on the use of RON 98 fuel.

The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

All figures relate to vehicles with standard six-speed manual transmission. Figures in [ ] are for vehicles with six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

MINI COOPER SD ROADSTER.

ENTER. OPEN. GO.

The new MINI Cooper SD Roadster quickly takes its passengers to new adventures.

It owes its brilliant forward thrust to the high-torque diesel power unit under the bonnet. It guarantees top figures: Drivers curious to find out how quickly 8.1 [8.3] s pass just need to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h. Yet that is by no means all for the powerful diesel engine. It drives the MINI Cooper SD Roadster forward until a speed of 212 [204] km/h appears on the dial.

The two-seater also makes efficient use of the rear air stream at speeds above 80 km/h. That’s when the rear spoiler extends automatically and reduces the lift. This keeps the MINI Cooper SD Roadster pressed firmly down onto the road.

And fans of a fresh breeze will quickly open the black soft top. After all, that’s the best way to travel to the next adventure.

Although the passengers should make sure they drink enough in summer, the MINI Cooper SD Roadster always has a surprising lack of thirst. Thanks to MINIMALISM it consumes only 5.3 [7.1] l/100km in the combined cycle. In any weather, of course. Innovative technology helps to save fuel: the Auto Start Stop Function switches off the engine when you stop and at traffic lights. While in Brake Energy Regeneration the alternator charges the battery as soon as the driver’s foot leaves the accelerator. The shift point display shows the most fuel-efficient point for the next gear change.

So there is always more roadster feeling per tank.
