THE FACTS.

WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW.

With a top speed of 240 km/h, the MINI John Cooper Works Coupé is the fastest MINI approved for use on the roads.

To keep the extremely powerful racer firmly on the asphalt, the rear spoiler extends automatically above a speed of 80 km/h. It reduces lift on the rear axle. Torsion reinforcements located in the bulkhead behind the front seats provide the stability required when driving in the outside lane. They stiffen the body on high-speed stretches.

While work continues at full pace beneath the bonnet, the interior is remarkably comfortable and geared up to everyday use. The seating position ensures that even tall occupants can travel in comfort over long distances. The boot also displays its generous side, with 280 litres of space. Ideal for impromptu excursions or a weekend shopping trip, because this Coupé certainly wasn’t built for parking.

TECHNICAL INFO.

ALL THE DATA & FACTS.

Top marks to be really proud of:
the MINI John Cooper Works Coupé boasts an impressive set of figures. Despite its sizzling performance, it never uses more fuel than absolutely necessary. That way, even filling up the tank can be part of the fun of driving.

It shows plenty of muscle in every rpm range. That permits an effortless driving style with minimal gear-changing work. Because this agile character simply responds perfectly to the accelerator, whatever the engine speed. Just as the driver would expect of a true racing car.

COMMENT
All MINI engines meet the EU5 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.

¹ The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

DIMENSIONS.

MINI FAR AND WIDE.

Wide track, long wheelbase, short overhangs, low centre of gravity and “a wheel in each corner”. The MINI John Cooper Works Coupé is a born athlete with excellent roadholding and is just perfect for negotiating narrow streets.

ABUNDANT SPACE.

SURPRISINGLY STRONG ON INNER VALUES.

The unmistakeable performance is equally matched by the unique character of the vehicle interior. Exclusive design elements such as the interior surfaces in Chili Red or the sports seats in leather Lounge Carbon Black Championship Red turn every trip into ultimate driving pleasure.

This two-seater demonstrates how racing and everyday utility can be combined in style. First, with its variable boot with a generous 280 litres of space. Then with the handy storage areas behind the seats. And there is also the through-loading facility to the boot.

There is plenty of space for all passengers, too. Specially designed elliptical elements integrated into the roof liner substantially increase the amount of headroom.

TURBOCHARGER.

FROM 0 TO 280 IN AN INSTANT.

Further back than the bonnet, too, the MINI John Cooper Works Coupé produces some impressive figures. The large tailgate opens very high, to reveal a conveniently low loading sill. That makes it possible to load up the 280-litre boot in an instant.

With the through-loading facility behind the seats, loading up is an even quicker and more convenient affair. The passengers can simply reach behind from the passenger compartment and place smaller items of luggage in the boot.

HARD CENTRE.

MOUTHWATERING EXTERIOR.

A sports car could hardly be more inviting. It will only take a few moments before your gaze is captured by the roof’s racing helmet design. With its subtle joins, it almost seems to hover above the MINI John Cooper Works Coupé.

On the other hand the integral roof spoiler and the electrically extended rear spoiler are all about firmly hugging the ground. Both features provide the right grip on winding roads.

But the key to conquering the air stream is to be found up front. The very sloped A-pillar with flat windscreen improves aerodynamic performance and gives the driver even more scope for high-speed driving.
