All MINI engines meet the EU5 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.
MINI recommends the use of super unleaded 95 RON fuel. Unleaded RON 91 fuel or higher with a maximum ethanol limit of 10 percent (E10) is also permitted. The performance and fuel consumption rates listed are based on the use of RON 98 fuel.

The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

All figures relate to vehicles with standard six-speed manual transmission. Figures in [ ] are for vehicles with six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

MINI COOPER S COUPÉ.

OUTSTANDING TOP ATHLETE.

The nerve centre of the MINI Cooper S Coupé is the four-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine. This power unit has already scooped the “Best Engine Of The Year” award for four years in a row.

Its overboost function, which increases the peak torque from 240 to 260 Nm, is also one of a kind. It makes the MINI Cooper S Coupé capable of thrilling road performance. It sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in 6.9 [7.1] s. And drivers can push the speedometer right the way up to 230 [224] km/h – with the rear spoiler extended. This feature reduces lift at speeds above 80 km/h and makes for excellent roadholding. A sports car that’s just perfect for an urban adventure.

The driver can unleash this huge amount of power while still keeping the fuel consumption very modest. Thanks to MINIMALISM, the average standard consumption is just 5.8 [6.4] l/100km. The following technologies help to save fuel. The Auto Start Stop function automatically switches off the engine when the car is stopped and waiting at traffic lights. Brake Energy Regeneration means that the alternator charges up the battery if the driver’s foot is not on the accelerator. Shift Point Display shows the best moment to change gear for maximum economy.

This approach to driving fun also means keeping the fuel gauge needle over to the right for as long as possible.
