MINI COOPER COUPÉ

CLOSE
  • Output: 90 kW (122 hp) @ 6,000 rpm
  • Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 9.0 [10.3] s
  • Top speed: 204 [198] km/h
  • Fuel consumption (combined): 5.4 [6.4] l/100km
  • CO2 emissions: 127 [150] g/km
  • Max. torque/revs: 160 Nm @ 4,250 rpm

Further information on official fuel consumption and on the official specific emissions of CO2 for new passenger car models is contained in a brochure which is available free of charge from any dealer or from the following address: The Society Of The Irish Motor Industry, 5 Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, Ireland.

All MINI engines meet the Euro 5 emissions standard. The petrol engines for the MINI One Countryman, MINI Cooper Countryman and MINI Cooper Paceman meet the Euro 6 emissions standard. Fuel consumption is determined in accordance with the ECE driving cycle (93/116/EC) made up of approximately one third urban traffic and two thirds extra-urban driving (based on the distance covered). CO2 emissions are measured in addition to fuel consumption as such. Fuel consumption levels are calculated based on vehicles with standard equipment. Special equipment (e.g. wider tyres) can have a significant impact on fuel consumption levels.

MINI recommends the use of super unleaded 95 RON fuel. Unleaded RON 91 fuel or higher with a maximum ethanol limit of 10 percent (E10) is also permitted. The performance and fuel consumption rates listed are based on the use of RON 98 fuel.

The figures quoted include a 90 per cent tank filling, 68 kg for the driver and 7 kg for luggage. Unladen weight applies to vehicles with standard equipment. Optional equipment may increase this figure.

All figures relate to vehicles with standard six-speed manual transmission. Figures in [ ] are for vehicles with six-speed automatic transmission Steptronic.

MINI COOPER COUPÉ.

A THOROUGHBRED ATHLETE.

The genes of the MINI Cooper Coupé are programmed for just one aim: sporty driving. As a genuine two-seater, it is therefore the lightest of the entire MINI range.

Thanks to the low unladen weight and the powerful engine with 90 kW (122 hp) @ 6,000 rpm, the MINI Coupé accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 9.0 [10.3] s.

Present from the word go: that unique go-kart feeling that continues up to the top speed of 204 [198] km/h. Its low centre of gravity, agile chassis and high-torque engine turn it into an adventurer searching for narrow streets and tight curves.

But there’s no stopping it on fast stretches either, because it can overtake swiftly without the effort of shifting down. Proper grip comes from the rear spoiler which extends electrically above 80 km/h and reduces lift.

The driver can unleash this huge amount of power while still keeping the fuel consumption very modest. Thanks to MINIMALISM, the average standard consumption is just 5.4 [6.4] l/100km. The following technologies help to save fuel. The Auto Start Stop function automatically switches off the engine when the car is stopped and waiting at traffic lights. Brake Energy Regeneration means that the alternator charges up the battery if the driver’s foot is not on the accelerator. Shift Point Display shows the best moment to change gear for maximum economy.

This approach to driving fun also means keeping the fuel gauge needle over to the right for as long as possible.
